I'm having a weird issue where the audio is not synced up during cutscenes. At first I thought was just the voice audio but now It seems like the cutscene itself is delayed; I hear the audio before a character speaks/right before they perform an action. For example, in the cutscene I just watched one of the Seeds was using a stapler. Far Cry 4 > General Discussions > Topic Details. alby Mar 31, 2016 @ 12:29am. Yeah older games normally have somewhat worse sound design, most sound pretty good but others not so much, farcry 3 might be one of the not so good, and then getting used to new games with good graphics and great sound design and stuff like that makes it feel weird to go back to older games with not as good quality. Edit: Spelling.
Hi there guys! Thanks for the report. Can you double check your system and game audio settings? If you have it set to 7.1 or 5.1 surround and only have stereo speakers, the voice channels usually get routed to speakers that don't exist.
I have Far Cry 3 working smoothly on another PC, having Windows 10 32-bit, also updated from 8.1. Problem is related to DirectX audio file, xaudio2_7.dll, possibly because of its incompatibility with a new OS. Disabling Realtek Audio (or any other sound driver) will remove crash, but you play silent. Not a solution. Far cry 3 language problem. hi all, i bought fc3 and now i want to change the audio language to japanese but keep everything else in english, but when i open the audio settings the japanese option doesnt appear there even tho steam says that the game has japanese audio. if i set the language to japanese from steam then the game runs but

A lot of the audio seems to be muffled/overall low quality. Most notably the voice lines of minor NPCs. I don't remember the audio quality being this poor back when I played this game on PS3. Any workarounds or is it just inherent to the game itself? Still love this game btw, not trying to be nitpicky. Will they ever fix the new CPU issue?

To troubleshoot you might also try hooking up regular stereo speakers or headphones to the rear, green 3.5mm output and change "Playback Devices" to use your onboard Realtek audio (must be enabled in BIOS).

You can fix it by doing this: Control Panel > Sound > Playback > Click on the speakers you're using > Configure > Set the audio to Stereo. Mine was set to 5.1 Dolby and switching it to stereo fixed it immediately. Archived post. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. r/farcry6.
Ahh sounds like the console audio port problem. Many titles are ported from the console to the PC just as FC3 is. On a console you plug your crap machine into a A/V reciever. What is probably happening is that the game doesn't recognize your speaker config, bcause devs no longer take the time to configure their ported products properly for PC

2. Set your current sound setting to Stereo and disable Dolby Audio. To do this go to your system tray beside the time in the bottom right of the screen and launch your audio control manager e.g. Realtek and disable 5.1 surround sound or whatever you may have it to and select stereo. Go to control panel and select sound, then the properties of
