The only new ability you’d lose by doing that is the ability to mount in combat, which is unlikely to be make-or-break (with gliding booster and stealth, it’s pretty easy to get out of combat long enough to mount, particularly griffon or skyscale). You’d still get the aerial flame attack, which is likely to be needed in certain new combat
gw2 where to get griffon mount
The biggest problem for me is stopping my momentum on a Griffon. If I’m going super fast to speed towards whatever event/rift I’m chasing, I accidentally hit a leyline and I not only get taken in the wrong direction (if it were the right direction, I would just take the leyline) but I also just stop dead midair and need to gain height again with the skyscale.
Find the entrance to the Sanctum of Nabkha south-west of the Temple of Kormir. Follow the sand portals and floating masonry until you reach a point where you can jump up onto a large platform surrounded by columns of different heights. The egg can be found on top of one of these columns.
The Warmed Coastal Griffon Egg is the Roost that you can reuse in Crystal Oasis. Unfortunately, The Spearmarshal’s Plea does not work here. If a griffon is needed, it means going back to get another. Go to Temple of Kormir Waypoint and head north up to Diviner’s Passage on you raptor. Turn west to get over the ledge using the raptor, then

GW2 player can have lots of gold, as long as you are not into "legendary" and "fashion".

Only for combat. Outside of combat, mount stealth lasts much longer and is more versatile. Mount stealth has a long cooldown, whereas gliding stealth is based on your endurance and can be used more frequently. They are different, and you are most successful when combining both in a variety of contexts. Simply untrue. Advanced Flight Masteries means that the players will get a new avenue to obtain the Skyscale mount but training it in both the new version and the one from Path of Fire will get additional functionality for the flying lizard. In-combat mounting and updraft use masteries will also apply to the Griffon mount.
Hey guys I have completed the pof and now I wish to get the griffon mount, I found the last spearmarshal and received the spearmarshal’s plea. Question here if I have 250gold ready, can I buy those mats and unlock the griffon mount immediately? Or do I still need to do some quests i.e collecting griffon eggs/ legendary bounty etc? Thanks

For other mount acquisition guides, check these links: Griffon Guide; Beetle Guide; Warclaw Guide; Skyscale Guide; Siege Turtle Guide; Each mount can be improved using the mastery system in the hero panel. This is important for acquiring mounts because to complete some mount quests you will need improved versions of other ones.

Tries to fly under bridge or through tunnel, smashes into the top/bottom of it. Tries to gain altitude, hard lands on ground instead. Tries to use griffon and mount leap mastery to get up to high place, misses place and crashes into area way lower down, proceeds to spend way too long trying again before giving up and resorting to springer/skyscale.

There are exactly 40 insights in PoF, however you can only reach 37 without the Griffon (although it is possible to get all 40 using the other mounts in combination with Gliding), you get 1 point for unlocking each mount so up to 5, all story missions except "Sparking the Flame" award a point on first completion which gives a total of 12 and
In abstract, any somewhat flat map where you can get WAY in the air tends to be a good spot to fly from. Gave ya a short list to get started, you'll find your favorites with a little muddling around them, and other maps. The arm of Abbadon is another great one. Bloodstone Fen! Best place to fly with your griffon. The the hint for this item in the Open Skies Aka Griffon Collectiins suggests you have to redo it (if youve already done it) in order to receive the griffon item. But thats not the case if you did this mastery point prior to starting the 5 Open Skies aka Griffon Collections, you won't have to collect her equipment again, just talk to her.
The video is not speed up and most gw2 player would not be able to pull it off like that. it requires quite some skill to get that good at flying a griffon. (can dive to get momentum/speed. momentum can be lost when flying up again or for a longer time on the same height, can flap to gain very little height, can flap while diving to get max

When you get too low, pull up and flap to get back up. You can also keep flying horizontally much, much longer on water. There's a stream vod somewhere that explains the mechanics in depth, could try and dig it up for you. It's a hell of a mount, seems like something from a singleplayer game. Infinite learning curve.
